- The NMLEA Accredited Instructor Development Course is designed to provide students with the skills and abilities needed to instruct adult learners in general topics of instruction utilized or needed by law enforcement personnel and public safety telecommunicators.
This class is being made available ONLY to certified Law Enforcement Officers or Telecommunicators with 2.5 years of CERTIFIED years of service experience.
- Training Coordinators: Please verify years of certification experience through the Employment History portion of the Acadis Portal record, or, by checking the two beginning numbers of the individual’s “P number” (##-####-P). Any P numbers that begin with <20, are eligible. For example: 08-0140-PST is eligible to request registration.

Registration requests for individuals whose P number starts with 21, 22, or 23 are not eligible at this time. For example: 21-0001-P, 22-0001-PST, or 23-0000-P.
- Upon successful completion of the course, students with a minimum of 3 years of certified experience may apply for General Police Instructor certification with the NMLEA in compliance with 10.29.4 NMAC.
